Today's offering in my Hidden Gems series is a game near and dear to me, it encompasses my favourite genre of entertainment and provides a drama-laden setting that is easy to set up and play within.  

Time for the third part of my weight loss journey using the Fast 800 diet by Dr. Michael Mosley. If you haven't read parts 1 and 2 I suggest you give them a skim first. Hope you are enjoying the journey and my thoughts on what I am achieving.

  Today in my hidden gems blog series I have decided to take a look at the game system that I keep mentioning in my TTRPG posts, that is Pathfinder 1 st edition. It may not be the biggest surprise to a lot of people that I list it here as a hidden gem, a lot of TTRPG-minded folks will probably have a vague or extensive knowledge of it but for me, I want to shed a little light on Pathfinder 1 st edition for those people who might be newer to the scene and only have D&D 5e as their one and only flirtation with the hobby.

I thought I would write about my life as someone who cares for someone with Parkinson's disease, as my entire life for the past 10 years has revolved around being the sole carer for my girlfriend who has PD.

I thought I would write something about my current attempts to lose weight. Enjoy! Throughout my life, I have always had a love/hate relationship when it comes to my body. I would say I have minor body dysmorphia; it has never been a major problem, but I find it has always led me to see myself through a less-than-rosy lens.

In this day and age of always online life, where every thing is documented and photographed, most of us have a skewed perspective of the lives people we know live. This has led to the phenomenon known as FOMO or the fear of missing out, creeping into the collective psyche of the general populous.

Tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs) have been around for decades and have seen a surge in popularity in recent years. When I was younger the hobby was a very particular niche which led to the stereotype of the bookish, stickler-for-detail nerd. Nowadays this has changed to be more inclusive and attracts people from all demographics, young, and old, it doesn't matter everyone seems to be giving TTRPGs a try and I am overjoyed to see such an influx of people looking to the hobby. The great thing about the hobby is that it offers a unique and immersive experience where players create their own stories and characters, and take part in thrilling adventures. If you're new to tabletop RPGs, getting started can be intimidating, but fear not, I will outline a guide to what I feel will help you get started on your TTRPG journey!

Over the last few blog posts, I have outlined several nerdom-related stories or recommendations I have for nerd stuff. I thought I would go through how being a nerd has literally saved my life over the course of many years.

I was wracking my mind about something that you would hopefully find interesting and something that struck me was that a lot of people these days who have come into the hobby in the last few years, due to one reason or another, would only really have experience of 5e DnD. 

Hi Scott, here again. Time to open the vault doors to the good old days of my gaming life. early nineties was a time where being on the fringes of social society meant being kept out of a lot of the "normal" activities everyone else enjoyed, sports, popular music and in later years being one of the cool kid who could manage to get cheap bottles of alcohol on a Friday night, to sit in a dark and dank place, hidden from sight and "hangout" talking rubbish.

Hi Scott here, I thought I would have a look at the development of the TTRPG(Tabletop roleplaying game) genre over the course of my gaming career(life). It is great to see the massive influx of people willing to give the medium a try and even better to see the number of people who have decided to stick around and dive head first into the wonderful world of imagination.
